Deafness is not a disease, but nonetheless I’m reminded of this Onion article every time I see testicular cancer survivors excited about Lance Armstrong. Surely, Armstrong is an amazing cyclist with a remarkable personal story; he has also undeniably done a lot of good work for cancer research and genitourinary cancer awareness. It’s too bad, though, that the public face of a fairly common disease has to be such an inveterate jerk.
